home sweet Tartu

Hello:)
Had an awesome trip back home...
Thursday morning with the attempt of driving to Cedarville, but even the first step wasn't that easy...the car that i had just gotten back from the shop the day before was flashing the red AMP light on the dashboard. So i took it to Becky's car guy and they got it fixed for me within a few hours..who time i was thinking, what in the world do You want me to be doing right now God???
So i just started reading the Word. I was there so long, i even got to meet the store cleaners:) Both Peter& his wife are from Ghana and have been in the States for 9 years. He just kept on encouraging and saying it was so rare to see people reading the Bible while there's a huge pack of magazines on the table there in the waiting room. But he pretty was saying that i am on the right track and just to keep on going...which was the exact thing i needed to hear at that moment of feeling that everything was falling apart- which of course it wasn't, cuz i was just over reacting. Just those few words really helped me realize how God is so completely and perfectly on control!
So...i got to car, drove to Cedarville- spent the day with my family.

Friday i had my little 6-hour road trip to Morton, IL. Had a nice picnic and time with Jesus on the way there on a golf field..you know i would:P
I got to the Jones' at around 4pm , had supper and went off to a concert by some local performers aaaand Sanctus Real:D it was pretty sweet! After that i hung out with the Jones' son & his friends- awesome group of people..soo cool how God brings people together and how you can connect with brothers&sisters in Christ so easily!

Saturday morning we were off to Chi-town:) Toured around there for the day (Sears Tower, Navy pier, Chicago pizza) and ended up spending the night at Katri Kaerma's family's place...btw, thanks to all who were looking for a place for me to stay- God provided:)

Sunday we woke up and headed to Willowcreek with the train. Really got encouraged there also! "Those who are given the gift to lead, let them lead diligently". Really hit my heart especially with this project coming up...which i'll talk about here real soon. So after we toated my bags downtown and we got to see the Bean in Millennium park and enjoyed the Gospel Festival. Headed to the airport ...so first off: one of the bags got a huuge rip on the bottom, so we had to tape it shut all the way around...and second of all: my bags were over weight so i stared just giving stuff away to Katri:) Finaly got on the plane. had a great flight to Stockholm, sat next to a Suomi poikanen, Antti on the way:P and made some more friends at the airport once i arrived- some Italian guys who were going to Tallinn...who eventually helped me get all my bags and stuff that had fallen out of my taped up bag:S Timo was there waiting for me and got me home safe and sound, where i got to hang out with friends and had a big Welcome Home/ Birthday Party:D

Monday...so now here i am after a long day of meetings after meetings at the new Risttee office, brainstorming ideas for English Camps this summer:) Got to hang out with some amazing girls:) then met up with Tian who is the head of the company that will be supporting the project we're starting called AbbaAbi this summer (the Father's help) initially to reach out homeless children in Tartu and eventually in Estonia and Eastern-Europe!
This coming Saturday there will be the biggest non-profit organization conference in Estonia, where 600 people in politics, business and education will be attending...and guess who will be talking about this project to all those people?? DINGDINGDING...that's right, little me:) So God has totally opened up doors to make this project official and to get the support of many influential people in Estonia!

Please be praying...

  • for AbbaAbi and that God would give me the courage and right words to talk to all these people about this project
  • continual prayer for managing my time- especially juggling 3 big things at once: applying to university, English Camps internship and starting AbbaAbi
  • Major praise that i made it home safe...doesn't even really feel like i've been gone a whole year:P
  • praise for amazing friends all over the world..especially you :)
Thank you sooo much for the constant love i see through you guys, for all the prayers and encouragement- i love you all!

in His grace&love
amalie:)
